Salt Water sandals have been cult classics in the States for over 70 years, ever since Walter Hoy started making them with scrap leather from military boots during wartime shortages in 1940.

They’ve been gracing the feet of cool kids ever since – and now they’re here.

Perfect for the Aussie lifestyle, Salt Water, and their cousins Sun-San sandals, are crafted from durable, leather. They mould to the shape of the foot with repeated wear, a process that speeds up when wet, so they’re perfect for wearing to the beach, splashing in the sea, pounding pavements or just hanging out. Best of all, you can throw them in the washing machine when they need a clean, thanks to the non-rusting brass buckles and tough, but flexible, soles.

They’ve been going down a storm since we first started bringing them to our shores in 2010, so we’ve increased the range of styles, colours and sizes. Now we can all enjoy a little bit of cool Americana.

Narrow feet? - Try the Sun-San ranges as their straps are inside of the base. - Try anything with a buckle - the surf or classic

Wider feet? - Try anything with a buckle - Surf styles for kids and classic for adults. The leather does give after wear so will be more comfy as you wear them!
